We are in need of mentors for some of our students. We are asking our local community of parents, businesses and churches for help with this mission. The time commitment is about once a week for 45 minutes to an hour during the school day or during ASP. If you would like to serve as a mentor, please call today (770)928-5573. Thanks in advance.

Students have been learning the first habit of the 7 Habits of a Happy Kid by Sean Covey. They learned the importance of being proactive. My second and third graders were introduced to the book, But It's Not My Fault and learned to take responsibility for their actions regardless of the outcome. Each student made their own proactive strategy wheel to serve as a daily reminder of what they've learned. My fourth and fifth graders learned about being proactive with home and school responsibilities through an interactive powerpoint and finished their lesson with a game of Responsibility Scoot!!! Fun times this rotation...please quiz your students by having them tell you the difference between a reactive and proactive person.
